AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA

On this page will be photographs from every stage of the 2011 Amgen Tour of California. At the monemt there are photos from stages 2 through 4, stage 1 was canceled due to the weather. On the bottom of the page are links to the collections from the 2008, 2009 and 2010 races, and each one of those also has links to the other pages in this series.

2008 USA CYCLING MASTERS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

This page has many photographs from the USA Cycling Masters Track Championships held in September, 2008, at Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose, California. The event was the National Championships for the Masters categories track bicycle racers for 2008 with competitors from around the United States.

SANTA CRUZ CLASSIC CRITERIUM

This section has photographs from the 2011 Santa Cruz Classic Criterium that historically was called the Beach Hill Criterium. The Masters 35+ 1/2, Womens 1/2 and Mens Pro/1/2 races are all covered. The course is a tight .9 mile loop that climbs to the top of Beach Hill just off the infamous Beach/Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California. The repeated 50 foot climbs take a heavy toll on the tight, rolling course. At the bottom of the page are links to the collections from 2008, 2009 and 2010, and each of those pages also have links to navigate to all the other pages.

2008 WATSONVILLE CRITERIUM

This page has photographs of some of the races at the 2008 Watsonville, California, Criterium. A USCF sanctioned bicycle race.

2008 NCNCA MASTERS STATE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

These are photographs from the 2008 NCNCA Masters State Track Championship Bicycle Races at the Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose California on August 2, 2008. Events covered are the Sprints with their Awards, the 2KM Mens Persuit and the 3KM Womens Persuit.

2008 UCSC UNIVERSITY ROAD RACE

Photographs of all of the races from the 2008 UCSC University road race are on this page. Due to the length of the course several different race classes are racing at the same time, the photos are arranged according to the major races.

AERIAL VIEWS OF CALIFORNIA

These aerial shots of California were taken in 1983. Most of the views are from the San Francisco Bay area with a few from Sounthern California.

PLANTS AND FLOWERS

This section has photographs of Plants, Trees and Flowers, both in the wild and domestic.

ANCIENT BRISTLECONE PINES

These are photographs of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest located within the Inyo National Forest and the surrounding area. The Bristlecone Pines are the longest living life forms on Earth.

PETS

At the moment this section has photographs of a German Shorthair Pointer, Chihuahuas, and a couple Cats.

ELEPHANT SEALS

These are photographs taken at the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery near San Simeon, California, when the young were being raised.

AQUATIC LIFE

This page has photographs of salt and fresh water animal life.

BIRDS

These are photographs of birds, mainly those that live in and near the sea. There are presently shots of Pelicans, Seagulls, Forsters Terns, Swift chicks, Egrets, a Red Tail Hawk and Pigeons. Some of the shots are close up views of the bird(s), and others are shots of birds and flocks of birds flying.

OTHER ANIMALS AND INSECTS

This section has photographs of animals that don't fit into the above catagories and insects. Right now these are photos of horses, cows, squirrels, bighorn sheep, a coyote, burros, a fox, a lizard, a butterfly, a desert cricket and a tarantula.

PIECES OF ART

At the present time this section has photographs of the Lincoln Memorial, some Wall Murals, some Statues and some Fountains.

SUNSETS

Most of these Sunsets are from California but a few are from New York.

HALLOWEEN IN
SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA

These are photographs of Halloween 2011 on Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz, California. Thousands of people came in every kind of costume imaginable. At the bottom of the page are links that will take you to the photographs from the Halloweens in 2007 through and 2010.

THE MAKING OF A MUSIC VIDEO

These are photographs of a weathered Barnyard in Morgan Hill, California. The exact location was not recorded and it is now believed that the structures are no longer standing.

This section has photographs of Antique Vehicles including Steam Trains, Buggies, Cars, a Motorcycle, and an abandoned Car in the Forest.

Presently this section has photographs of Cars and Trucks including Sports Cars. There are also some shots of wrecked Trucks and a Motorcycle.

This section has photographs of Racing Cars and associated items.

This section has photographs of Antique Aircraft.

This section has photographs of, and things asociated with, Modern Aircraft.

1986 WATSONVILLE AIR SHOW

These photographs were taken at the 1986 Watsonville, California, Air Show.

BOATS

This section has various photographs of sea going boats, both at sea, in a harbor, and on and near a wharf. There are shots of motorized boats, sail boats, a double masted schooner, paddled boats and the derelict cement ship USS Palo Alto.

BUILDINGS

These are various photographs of Buildings and things associated with buildings including views of details. Including commercial buildings and offices, skyscrapers, houses, doors and windows, and brick buildings. Some were taken at night.

This section has photographs that capture the mystery of Fire.

This section has various photographs taken at night. These include Psychedelic Light Streaks, shots with the Moon, Star Trails, Buildings including a Lighthouse, Building Detail, a Fountain, Phone Booths, Microwave Antennas, Outdoor and Beach Scenes, and Driving.

This section has photographs of miscellaneous objects that don't fit into other categories, too many object to list. This includes everything from mechanical to artistic objects, photographs of natural objects, building structures, and other man-made objects.
